A rather tardy 2105 review. I photographed my last wedding on December 29th, however, that is not really a valid excuse. I would like to think so, however it is not; as an artist “the review” is always at the whim of self sabotage… something one keeps putting off doing and pondering over how to present etc.
The presentation style I decided to use this year is just a simple chronological highlights view of wedding (& one pre-wedding) photography. By adopting this simple approach, I am just allowing the photographs to be themselves paired only with the next frame …dating from 14 March to 29 December. This chronological view also gives an insight into the changing light and tones with the seasons. There is of course a lot to be said about making photographs mean more by making juxtapositions of contrasting images in diptyques and varying pace with clever sequencing… This is indeed an editing technique I use in much of my photographic work. I love the art of sequencing, however, I also strongly believe a wedding photograph should be able to stand on its own and in this instance be in the order that it happened….so in the order I captured them ..here is 2015 ..true to my eclectic photographic style.
With special thanks as always to all my lovely couples for being “you” and enabling me to photograph you as “you”. Looking forward to capturing lots more light, love and laughter in the rest of 2o16.xx
Loving these guys! The phone booth shot! x
