Heather was truly amazing, I agree with all the positive comments here. Her photographs on her website immediately convinced me that she is the right person with a very “special eye” .. she studied at Central Saint Martins, so did I, so I felt an immediate connection and trusted her to think outside the box. Apart from being a great artist who truly masters the play with light and composition in her photography, she is also a very pleasant and kind person to have around on such a special day. Heather knows how to be very present and noticing everything, all the little extras and details and at the same time make her self almost invisible, just blending in, floating around like a little feather.. Heather the feather 🙂 Thank you so so much for our beautiful photographs and sorry it took a bit long to write this review … Love from us xxx
Lia & Nicolas October 2017, Islington Town Hall, London
It might sound like madness but I wasn’t sure I needed a wedding photographer at all to start off with, I imagined it would be too much pressure, being manipulated into poses that would not feel like me, or just too “wedding-y photos” in general. Thank god that moment of madness passed, and my sister recommended I meet Heather. I am eternally grateful to her for capturing not only the most amazing memories of our wedding, but also for doing so in such an effortless and relaxed way.
From our first meeting, I knew that we had made the right choice. We really felt listened to about what we wanted, but equally recognised that with Heather’s eye and experience, we were incredibly lucky to have such a talented and creative photographer with us on our big day. Everything felt so easy and relaxed, yet Heather managed to capture so much, it was amazing.
Her skill at putting people at ease, and recognising the perfect shot, means that we have an album full of brilliant memories and beautiful, original photos – we could not have hoped for more. I could not recommend her highly enough. THANK YOU!!!
Harri & Jamie, November 2019, Fitzrovia Chapel, London.
We were absolutely delighted when we got our wedding photos back from Heather. The photographs were simply stunning and fully captured the reality, emotions and joy of the day. The variety of shots was magnificent and gave the pictures a truly unique feel.
When first meeting Heather she went out of her way to understand who we were and what we were after – even if we didn’t fully understand ourselves. She had an air of calmness and confidence which projected on us. Explaining how the day should be approached from her point of view (and ours) we were confident in letting Heather do her thing – which she did wonderfully.
Throughout the wedding Heather was very hands on, yet in no way intrusive. She was a pleasure to have around, be around and worked with a reassuring smile. She also really took the time to get to know and involve our friends and family. She was firm when we needed her to be and allowed space when we needed it too. She went out of her way for us and genuinely cared about helping to make not only our photographs but our whole wedding the best that it could be.
Keeping in close contact after the wedding we always felt so close to the process. The personal touches were incredible and Heather kept us involved (and valued our input) in the process throughout. The highlights of the day were absolutely and splendidly recaptured by the photos. Heather is so intuitive and creative and consequently captured so many beautiful moments that we were unaware of at the time. Heather went so far above and beyond the call of duty for us and we cannot thank her enough – if we had to do it all again we would not change a thing! It was an absolute joy to have Heather there on our big day and we genuinely came to think of her as a friend. Thank you for everything Heather – your photos are simply divine!
Emily & Dave February 2020, Asylum Chapel & Stanley Halls, London.
Heather, Heather, Heather. I don’t even know where to begin with this fabulous and talented woman. Heather was the first “vendor” that we choose for our wedding. I came across her work and thought, damn, that is our wedding photographer. From first contact Heather was great – responsive, professional but also extremely relatable – I instantly felt a rapport and comfortable around Heather – which is no mean feat for an exchange over email. To cut an extremely long review into a slighter shorter one, I’d say this: Your photographer is probably one of the most important parts of your day – Heather basically helped us organise our wedding, from endless (and great) recommendations and contacts for just about everything, to making sure the day ran smoothly, ensuring we got some time together as a newly married couple, to banter and friendly vibes with our guests. Heather puts so much into all the prep and also communication pre wedding, that We felt like we had a wingman (or wingwoman)/ mate taking our photos. Trust and feeling comfortable with your photographer is key, and Heather is just a natural. The best choice in terms of our wedding (apart from eachother) was having Heather as our photographer. Thank you Heather.
Cassie & Sam, Stoke Newington Town Hall & Fredericks, London.
As a wedding photographer myself, choosing who photographed our wedding was the biggest and most important decision for us. We needed to have a photographer who we could 100% trust and who we know would go the extra mile to capture the story of our wedding celebrations. Heather is one of a kind, her passion for photography is so unique, she cares about the photographs she takes for each individual couple. Having known her work for a long time, as soon as we got engaged we knew we wanted Heather & her creative talents to photograph our wedding day. Heather photographed our legal wedding ceremony at Hackney Town Hall, London and our humanist ceremony in Monmouth, South Wales and our family and friends loved her. She dedicated her time and consideration to plan each day with us and because of this you get the photos other photographers would miss. Her insight and attention to detail ensured she captured all the special moments that were so important to us from our wedding celebrations. A wedding is a once in a lifetime day and you cant go back and re-shoot it! Heather was there at every moment capturing the photographs that we will now treasure forever.

Heather did an amazing job of photographing our wedding, I couldn’t recommend her highly enough! Right from the start it was all about us, listening to our story and what we wanted from the photography – it was the really consultative aspect that impressed me the most. Yes of course Heather has her own artistic style (which we loved) but she always made it about us, what we wanted to capture and the memories we wanted to preserve. The photography was so good that it even made it into The Times as part of a feature about our wedding at The Dulwich Picture Gallery!
If you’re debating on a photographer for your big occasion then stop, go with Heather and you’ll be so glad you did.
Hai & David, Dulwich Church & Picture Gallery, London
Raini and I cannot recommend Heather highly enough. From the first time we met her we were impressed with her organisation and tips for other suppliers for our big day.On the day she took so many wonderful and creative photos and all our guests commented on how unobtrusive, calming and skilled at getting natural shots she was.
We loved the fact that we got a selection of photos only a week after the wedding and this was followed by a slide show along with the full collection of photos. Thank you so much Heather.
Paul & Raini June 2019, Marylebone Town Hall & Soho House , London
“Heather was an absolute godsend on our wedding day. As photography and design enthusiasts ourselves, my husband and I were drawn to her incredible use of light, scale and composition. We have very few photographs together as a couple and wanted our wedding photographs to not only capture us and our day but also be truly beautiful pieces of art. Her results have certainly not disappointed. With her speedy turnaround we are now struggling to decide which ones to print and display in our home. Quite an ideal dilemma! Not only is Heather an extremely talented artist but she is also gifted with interpersonal dynamics. Her confidence with people and with weddings helped the overall flow of our wedding day. She is very easy to communicate with and helped us shape our day to get both the best experience for us and our guests, which I believe you can truly sense from our wedding photographs.”
Genevieve & Moss, January 2019, Islington Town Hall & Ivy City Garden, London
I have known Heather since we studied an MA in photography together. I have seen her wedding photography go from strength to strength, so it was an obvious choice to choose her to shoot our wedding. During the preparation she was fantastic, she knew exactly what to plan and we went over everything in detail during our meeting and on the phone. On the day she was very supportive and was always dishing out little tips about how things normally unfold during your wedding day. For most part I didn’t know she was there as she captured everything very discreetly, apart from when we did couple shots and our family photos, during those she was really relaxed and made it fun.
When we got the shots back we were so happy. We had a slideshow with my family who were welling up with tears, we made an occasion of it and I got out the projector screen. We absolutely love the intimate couple shots, it was actually one of our favourite moments during the day when we took some time away from the chaos, to take a walk along the beach with Heather as the sun went down. Looking at the photos it’s something to do with the way she uses the light, I’m not quite sure how she does it but the pictures have a nice balance between being artistic yet natural. Perhaps her style comes from the fact that she has an understanding of other kinds of photography which brings something unique to the images. We will look back on our photos for years to come, it was the best day of our lives and we are truly delighted to have it documented so well.
Paul & Zoe, June 2019, Walberswick, Suffolk
“We cannot recommend Heather highly enough. We met her at a wedding of our friends and she was our immediate choice when we got engaged a few years later. We had an engagement shoot ( well worth it and not as cheesy as you think) which involved us getting locked in a grave yard but Heather was totally game and climbed over the fence to escape. Now that’s what you call above and beyond. We both agreed it was like having a friend at our wedding and she produced the most amazing shots. Stylish but full of truth. She captures light beautifully and knows her locations so even in a busy city like London you get these magic moments of just the two of you! Every time we look at them they bring instant joy!”
Caroline & Tom, December 2018, Marylebone Town Hall, London
“Heather was our wedding photographer in September 2018 and couldn’t recommend her more highly. Heather took the time to get to know us as a couple before the wedding and understood exactly the lens through which we hoped to capture the day. Her work is stylish, individual and refreshingly ‘real’ – we never felt the need to ‘pose’ for Heather as she has an amazing ability to catch special moments, interactions and memories. Heather is a true pro and was a pleasure to work with.”
Katie & Benjamin, September 2018, The Royal Hospital Chelsea & Trinity Buoy Wharf, London
“Heather was recommended to us by our wedding planner and I couldn’t have asked for any better. I really didn’t want staged “traditional” wedding pictures where you usually cant smile by the 30th line up shot of family and friends. Heather really appreciated what I was looking for and captured the candid moments beautifully. Our couples shots felt very relaxed because she was more focused on us enjoying the day. We got married in Shoreditch London and she did her research on where to find the best back drops.
Thank you Heather for capturing the beautiful moments of our special day.”
Claire & Liam, September 2018, Shoreditch Studios, London
“My wife and I chose Heather for our wedding photographer after seeing the amazing job she had done for one of my wife’s colleagues. She had a lot of experience with the venue we had chosen, and knew all the hidden secrets! She also kept a keen eye on the weather and timing, and was able to sensibly work around the wedding schedule to fit in shots when the lightning was best.We found her very easy to work with, both in the run up to the big day and on the day itself. She got on well with our family and friends, and the pictures speak for themselves. We could not have asked for a better album of memories, and all our guests were bowled over by the shots!I would highly recommend trusting Heather to handle recording the memories of your big day.”
Alex & Rosie, September 2018, The Town Hall Hotel, London
Where do we start? Heather was a joy, more than a photographer she was organiser, hand holder, nerve calmer and rock on the day. She gave us loads of help with tips at our venues and genuinely cared about our day. We had the most terrible weather (constant rain) but Heather whatever the weather, made us an album where you could never tell and it really is the most beautiful memory of the day. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.
Becki & Joel, Islington Town Hall & The Shoreditch Hotel, London
We chose Heather for our wedding photographer initially because we loved the style of her photography.
When we met this was confirmed in her sincere interest in us and the day we were planning.
Heather offered us both so much guidance about what pics to take, when & how as well as listening to us and understanding how we wanted photography to fit around our day and not the other way round.
She was also extremely able to handle ensuring that the other service providers involved would accommodate what was needed to enhance the visual imagery in the pictures. We ended up with a fantastic selection of photographs making it so difficult to choose which we would select for an album.
The whole experience was fun, stress free and has left us with an incredible memoir of our wedding day. I would recommend Heather in a heart beat to anyone considering engaging her services.
Lizzie & Giles, Fredericks, Islington, London
“We asked Heather to be our wedding photographer after seeing her style of shooting weddings in the Asylum Chapel (where we got married). I’ve not come across another photographer who’s able to capture the beautiful light and magical atmosphere of the chapel as well as Heather! Before our wedding, we met up and Heather took the time to find out about us and our story, and gave us lots of helpful tips and recommendations. She’s equally friendly, professional and organised, which was much appreciated before and on the day. It’s obvious that Heather loves what she does as she puts her all into capturing beautiful moments. We absolutely love our wedding photos and so does everyone who’s seen them. They tell a beautiful story, are full of emotion, and will keep our happy memories alive for years to come. Thank you so much, Heather!”
Katie & Mark, Asylum Chapel & East Dulwich, London
“When we started planning our big day we knew that getting the right photographer was going to be really important to us. We met Heather and just knew she was the one and booked her straight away! We knew she would take incredible photos, but would also feel like part of the day. She fit in seamlessly and was just like having another wedding guest who we’d have wanted there whether she was taking the pictures or not! Heather’s pictures have a unique quality to them that captures the essence of you. She doesn’t put you in uncomfortable positions, or take you away from your guests for large parts of the day, she fits her pictures in almost without you knowing! Our wedding pictures are a complete story of the day, not a detail has been missed. Thank you so much Heather, you made our day very special and have given us pictures that we will treasure forever.”
Louise & Duncan, Asylum Chapel, London
“Heather is a consummate professional, a quick worker and has such a creative approach to her work that it is almost inevitable that her photos would come out so well. Her style is so unique and beautifully striking (and, now, often imitated) that Sam and I instantly knew we wanted to work with her. Professionally, I work with creative photographers regularly and, at times, it can be very challenging – to trust that a photographer has totally understood your ideas and let them get on with it is not easy but, with Heather, I never had a moment’s doubt that the hundreds of photos she ended the day with would be perfect. And they were.”
Ben & Sam, The Loft Studios, London
I fell in love with her ability to capture beautiful photographs in an urban environment. They’re not just stylish but there’s a nod of individuality / personality to each picture – something funny or cute, or even awkward that (in our case) felt true to us. Nothing formal or staged, but still elevated above a ‘snap’.
I am a bit of an over-thinker but I honestly didn’t even think about the photographs on the day because Heather was so perfectly in charge. Present but not in the way, piping up with valuable advice (i.e. to take our bouquets out the water in good time) and managing to get amazing photos out of two giddy people. And importantly I didn’t feel like we spent hours away from our guests having staged photographs taken. We just went for a really fun ten minute wander around and Heather managed to work her magic with that.
Heather not only made my day, she made the days after the wedding. Almost a year later I still find myself casually scrolling through the album online every other day. I love the pictures and the memories they come with so much.
Faye & Jimmy, Stoke Newington Town Hall & The Tram Shed, London
“Heather was an absolute dream to work with and we could not recommend her highly enough. From our very first meeting over coffee, we knew that she was the right photographer for us. Her obvious passion for what she does coupled with an undeniable talent and her bubbly personality meant that we knew immediately that we wanted to work with her. She took the time to get to know us as a couple before the day which led to a unique and truly personal cab journey around our East London home stopping at some of our favourite haunts for photos that we will treasure forever. On the day itself, Heather and her assistant couldn’t have been more helpful and travelled to numerous different locations to help capture every aspect of our wedding. Our guests loved Heather as she put them at ease and this has led to some utterly fantastic candid shots which is exactly what we wanted. Looking through the album now, it makes you feel as if you are re-living the day and for that we are so thankful to Heather. She rocks!”
Mark & Lauren, Islington Town Hall & Katchette, Shoreditch, London
“Wow! They are incredible, and I cannot put into words how much we love them. You have captured moments in the day that we will cherish and reminisce about forever. They are so unique, don’t look like any wedding photos I have seen before and that it the best thing about them! All the guests keep showing them to people who don’t even know us, because everyone is so blown away by your work.Thank you, thank you, thank you, for shooting our wedding, we have such fantastic memories of the day and now we have the most beautiful photographs to gush over 🙂 You worked so hard on the day, and it is so appreciated ! Big love and appreciation!”
Emma & Daniel , Islington Town Hall & Studio Spaces, London
“Heather we can not thank you enough for our wonderful photograph’s. You captured the day perfectly and despite the rain produced some truly beautiful photography. You managed to capture every moment in a unique way giving us a wide range of photographs telling a detailed story of the day. You were a joy to work with from the work go and I loved our emails throwing ideas back and forth. You really got involved with our vision for the day and made us feel well looked after. On the day you were wonderful making us feel at ease and not being too imposing. It was so great of you to stay late to capture our photobooth shenanigans. The fact you managed to get our wedding featured on ‘love my dress‘ with such positive comments from the editor just shows your talent in creating beautiful photographs. So a huge thank you for giving us some beautiful photos we will treasure forever”
Ashley & Nick, Guildings Barn, Dorking
“We have been absolutely blown away by Heather’s photos. Although we knew to expect beautiful photos from seeing the amazing photos she took at our friends wedding, she managed to make our photos totally unique and reflective of our day. Heather herself is a lovely person to be around and has a great nack for making people comfortable and relaxed, even those that are a little camera shy. She was great at being as discrete as possible on the wedding day yet seeming to be absolutely everywhere and covering every shot. We are totally in love with our photos, as are our guests. We’d have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone is who looking for a talented and truly professional photographer to capture their day. We couldn’t be happier with our photos and are truly grateful to Heather for providing us with such beautiful and fun memories of our special day.”
Amy & Jody, Oxfordshire
“Your wedding photos make me want to get married” – that’s what a friend of mine said when she saw our photos and I think that sums up what you did for us so beautifully. It also reassures me that I’m not totally biased in thinking they genuinely are the best wedding photos I’ve ever seen. Heather we cannot thank you enough for capturing the magic of our day so perfectly. You listened to everything we wanted and not only did you capture amazing shots of our family and friends, but you captured the FEELING of love, frolics and fun that our day was full of. We have photos of moments that we can look at and remember exactly how we felt, and that is something so precious. It was an absolute pleasure having you as such an important part of our day – you made the whole snapping process joyous rather than a chore – I know the boys loved posing for their shots, and you only have to look at the photos of me and my bridesmaids to see what a laugh we were having. You were a dream to work with – managed everyone so well, made them feel comfortable and relaxed and that really shines through in the photos. Not only did you capture photos but you captured memories and we can’t thank you enough for enabling us to relive our wedding day every time we look at them. I would recommend you to every bride out there – you rock.”
Hollie & Christian, Battersea & East Dulwich, London
“Hiring Heather is like a 2 for 1 deal. Not only do you get an amazing photographer, but an on-the-day co-coordinator too! She was an incredible support to us on our wedding day, making sure everything went to plan and everyone was where they should be. It snowed for most of the afternoon. I’ve never been so cold. But Heather’s warmth and energy kept us going. She refused to wear a jacket, because I didn’t have one. She wanted to ‘feel what I was feeling’, which seemed mad but very comforting at the same time! It’s a perfect example of how professional and dedicated she is. My husband and I absolutely love our photos and we’ve got so much joy from sharing them with our family and friends. Heather managed to capture so many special moments from start to finish. She’s got a particular talent for portrait photography. I want to frame almost every image she took of our guests. We couldn’t be more pleased with the results and we’d recommend her time and time again.”

“I chased Heather down after seeing some stunning shots she had taken of an old school friend of mine’s wedding in London. Once I got in touch, that was all the chasing I had to do! From the moment she had our brief she completely ran with it.With winter weather and plenty of logistics to content with – 3 venues to shoot and a photo op en route! – she was the cool headed but militant personality we needed on the day. The weather turned out to be a delight and I am so glad she was persistent enough to sneak us out of our drinks reception to get some shots as the sun went down. Heather is an absolute pro, all the advice she gave me not just in the lead up to the wedding but also on the day was spot on. She’s also a photo ninja who will stop at nothing to ensure the shots of one of the most important days of your life rise above the ordinary. And did I say she’s a right laff?! She knows a good DJ too!”
Amy & Andrew, Battersea Church, Hampton Court House, London
“Amazing shots that captured our wedding in a stunning way. Everyone had a fab time and Heather’s eye and skills means we have some truly stunning pictures to remember our wedding day. Love the style, the angles and the way in which Heather managed to get our rowdy lot all into a photo together..skills! My best friend wants to use Eclection photography for her wedding too 🙂 Xx”
Amie & Ian, Mayfair Library & Kensington, London
“Heather is an unbelievably talented photographer with a bubbly and fun personality. We hit it off instantly over our love of music, graffiti and urban brick and there was no question from the get go that she was going to be our photographer on the big day. With her cool quirky and unique style of photography she was perfect for our urban wonderland wedding at Islington metal works.
On the day itself, Heather teamed up with her very talented friend Katie Palmer and together they worked like a dream team. Heather started off with the girls in the morning, her militant but fun ways kept us all in check and made the morning run smoothly which was not an easy job with a bride, six bridesmaids and the mother of the bride. To add to the craziness of the day we decided to get the Thames clipper which didn’t run as smoothly as we would have hoped. It turned out to be the tall ships festival and the boats were particularly busy that day. This did not phase Heather and being her professional and enthusiastic self made the most of every moment capturing some really cool on the move pics. Heather is a quick thinker, acts on impulse and makes the most out of every opportunity she gets.
Whilst all this madness was going on Katie was at the venue creating some fabulous urban snaps of the groom, groomsmen and guests which we are so thankful for. They work superbly together and the final edited gallery that Heather presented flowed flawlessly as though all the photos were taken from the same camera which blew us away.
Heather was an absolute joy to work with throughout the planning process and although we were very certain of our theme and vision she brought some amazing ideas and changes into the mix that we were so thankful for on the day. Her magic angels, evening spotlight work, action shots on the dance floor and attention to detail seemed to bring our magical wonderland wedding to life and for that we cannot thank her enough. I could not recommend Heather enough. If your a unique bride with a unique vision then Heather is the photographer for you…
Heather we absolutely adore you and your insane photography skills. Thank you for your patience, ideas and the fun that you brought to our day. The photos really do speak for themselves. Thanks a million.”
Stacey & Aaron, Islington Metal Works, London
“Heather captured our wedding day exactly as we imagined, we wanted natural, documentary style photos that showed the love and happiness. She worked tirelessly to take photos of every moment. These timeless images will forever be a memory of our perfect day. I cannot recommend her enough, she is a joy to work with… My mother, for one, can’t stop looking at them.”
Alice & James, October 2016, Islington Town Hall & The Red Bus, London
“We met Heather back in 2009 at Electric Elephant festival and instantly hit it off over a love of music and photography. We knew she was the only choice of photographer when we got married. In the weeks and months leading up to the big day, Heather was really keen to help with all aspects of the day and she really delivered on coming up with some great ideas for the shots. She put in a lot of time and effort scouting out locations in Shoreditch and her military planning meant there was no hanging around or time wasted on the day. Heather has a way of capturing the moment so candidly and beautifully and really knows how to get the best out of people. Not to mention her un-weddingy style which is exactly what we wanted. She is a true professional and everyone loved working with her. The day wouldn’t have been the same without her and her gold disco trousers!”
Sophie & Steve, Shoreditch Studios, London
“Heather is an unbelievably talented photographer who is perfect for couples looking for relaxed and stylish photos. She’s super organised and is happy to help in any way possible on the big day. Couldn’t recommend enough!”
Caitlin & Nicholas, The Town Hall Hotel, London
“Heather was totally amazing on the day, I’ve seen Heather at work a number of times and have seen her amazing take on modern wedding photography before, so it was an obvious choice to ask her to be the photographer for our day. It started with a consultation to discuss the basics, then we had a separate day out for a recky. The first location we chose was very pretty, lots of glass, tropical plants and the sun shone brightly, it looked like a victorian film set. Heather managed with humour and ease to co-ordinate over a hundred of our guests as they tottered around with Prosecco in their hands. She played that difficult role of being there at exactly the right moment for all of the key shots, but blending into the party, so the photos capture the natural joy and beauty of the day, which is exactly what everyone wants from a photographer. Then we moved onto the warehouse at Peddlers, Burton Street for the reception. This was a very industrial building, surrounded by brick walls, its amazing how Heather can make a brick wall photograph looks so utterly cool, but she does. Some of my favourite photos of the day (apart from our actual vows) were the photos of our guests smiling and looking so happy for us both, as we gave our speeches, Heather really captured the love in the room, such a special moment. Heather comes with the highest recommendation from us, she’s an incredible talent.”
Michelle & David, Botanical Gardens & 92 Burton Road, Sheffield
“Heather was the photographer I had always dreamed of. Someone who could keep everyone moving but still capture the really intimate moments. She understood my dream photography style: dark and mysterious, finding the warmth of winter.”
Hayley & Scott, St Marks Church, Peaslake & Guildings Barn, Newdigate.
“What can we say that hasn’t been said here already? We’ve been friends with Heather for many years so we knew what a great fun person she is to be with. And having watched her career develop and seen the sheer quality of the work she produces, we felt privileged to have her taking our wedding photography. She was a great person to talk to about the whole wedding – her experience on all aspects of weddings and her willingness to take time to talk through all the details of the day was such a help. She was amazing on the day – everywhere yet somehow completely unobtrusive. Apart from when she made everyone wait another 30 seconds for a cloud to come over before capturing the perfect ‘confetti’ shot – which turned out to be my very favourite of the whole lot. No one was squinting or had any shadows because of that cloud – the girl really knows her craft. She was really patient with all of us (including two small children) who really didn’t want to miss the party to have their photo taken. But above all she has given us several hundred amazing photographs which perfectly capture our amazing day – full of colour and laughter and fun – just like Heather.”
Kirsti and Adrian, Dulwich Village, London
“Highly recommend. There are a sea of photographers at wedding fairs, but honestly I felt so lucky to find Heather online, she captured the light, and architecture of buildings and the flow of the day beautifully & most important really naturally. Not a corporate looking shot in sight. She worked ‘really’ hard on the day, grabbing us when the light was right. And even chased after our busses when they drove off without us. So many people commented on how professional and how ‘invisible’ she was on the day. Thank you Heather x”

“Well. What can we say? It was so much fun working with you and our photographs are truly stunning. You picked out the best surroundings and have helped create some brilliant memories. You captured the fun and laughter throughout the day – we just couldn’t stop laughing at times! From when we met you and had a cup of tea, we really felt you understood what we wanted and gelled with us, as a couple trying to create our special day. It didn’t feel like it was just a job, you made the whole process fun and took a lot of the worry out of the day. While we were getting ready you calmed us and made everything work. You even grabbed the phone off Gareth while he was sat in the barber’s chair, and dealt with a delivery to the venue for us. And then there was your expert hunt for flower pins as Gareth and the best man waited nervously in the registry office. While all this was going on Katie (who was helping you be in two places at once) managed to keep Gemma together before walking down the aisle while she was trying her best not to cry! Well above and beyond the call of duty. All of this, along with your logistical planning, as you timed everything to make sure we got the best and most images possible, showing your amazing organisational skills. And you did it all without making us or anyone around us feel rushed or flustered. We love the photos and your patience with us was fantastic. The comments from friends and family have been brilliant. Most of those married wished they’d found you for their special day!So, from our first meeting, to getting ready at the barbers shop and the hotel, to catching us cutting some rug on the dance floor, you were fab and the photos show it. Thanks a million.Gemma and Gareth x

“Heather, you are quite simply the best photographer we could have asked for to capture our day. I’m not sure how you managed to keep the boisterous guests under control…but you did and did so patiently.
No task was too big or small…including stopping the traffic on Albert Bridge to get a shot of us on a clear road! It’s one of our fab shots.
All of the pictures have captured our day so vividly and every time we look back at them we smile. Big big thank you!!! “
Leila & Perry, Chelsea Old Town Hall, London
“Heather is quite simply amazing.
She navigated the tricky light conditions during our winter wedding with ease and delivered an outstanding array of beautiful photographs. She captured our day perfectly, including the many characters and unscripted moments that made it so special.
Not only a pleasure to work with, Heather played an incredibly important yet unseen role of helping the day to run smoothly. She strikes the perfect balance of being extremely organised and in control while at the same time making everyone feel relaxed.
We LOVE our wedding photos, as do all our family and friends, and we really cannot recommend her highly enough.
Look no further for your wedding photographer, you have already found her.”
Jodi and Derek, Asylum Chapel & Brunswick House, London
“Heather was fantastic, before, during and after our wedding. We’re extremely happy with all the photographs and feel grateful that we found someone who totally understood what we wanted from the day and worked with us to make it happen. She’s a flipping belter.”
Dan & Anna, August 2014, The Bodem Rooms, Altringham, Manchester
“Heather was totally adorable from the minute we met… cutely sporting her t-shirt on back-to-front… and inside out! With those instant giggles, we knew we’d mesh from the beginning. But that first day, most importantly, her utter talent just blew us away and we were in no doubt that we had to have her! It’s fair to say this was the best decision of our entire wedding. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole journey together, from getting to know each another at our ‘Nearly Married’ shoot, to a wondrous day of priceless, beachside snaps, all the while sharing ideas, wedding stresses and stories over the phone and email. On the ‘big day’, Heather was a complete pro. Amongst all the wedding commotion, she somehow managed to find herself everywhere, cleverly catching each key moment as if invisible in the crowd, never compromising her artistic and experimental eye, whilst naturally mingling with our friends and family as a real guest. She impressed and made pals with everyone (especially my bridesmaids), put people at ease and made each and everyone of us roll around with laughter.Thank you Heather for being such an integral part of our wedding and making our special day truly perfect! It just wouldn’t have worked without you. We will forever cherish the unforgettable memories you captured for us. We feel honoured to have you work your magic on us and now truly consider you such a good friend. We love you dearly and will never fail to fly the flag for your amazing work.Hugs and kisses,Kat & Mark xxxxx”

“Heather, thank you so much for all the beautiful photos! You captured the day perfectly and were a fun addition to the party too! Everyone commented on what a laugh you were & also so professional- battling through the snow! Every pic brings back a special memory, we are finding it hard which to put in our wall. Thanks for all your hard work and talent!Xxxx”

“When we first started planning our wedding, we were certain we didn’t want the usual, very prim and proper – and frankly dull – wedding photographs. We wanted them to be fun, to reflect our personalities, and to just be a little bit cool. Boy, did we get all that. Heather is awesome. And her photos were damn amazing. Straight from the start she made us feel at ease, and her photos completely reflected the type of people we are. Everyone loved having their photo taken by her and we keep getting messages from our guests to say how much they love them. This is the kind of person you need to document the greatest day of your lives. In fact, we’re just gutted she can’t follow us around all the time. Thanks Heather – they’re photos we’ll be proud to put up everywhere in our house! Thanks again, we absolutely love the photos and I take a sneaky look whenever I need a pick-me-up.”

“We’re so happy we opted for Heather to do our wedding photography. We instantly hit it off and she gave us loads of tips to help with our planning. She was really excited to shoot at our East London venue and that really shines through in the quality and quantity of our pics – everyone has commented on how unique they are and we love flicking though our album. Heather was great fun to have around and the cats loved her too! Thanks again xx”

“We always knew that choosing a photographer for our wedding was going to be one of the most important decisions we would make. After all, your photos are one of the most lasting mementos of the day. As soon as we saw Heather’s website we fell in love with her work. The way in which she captures both details and emotions is beautiful and her photos truly seem to tell a story. From our first meeting with Heather through to receiving our photos (all 900 of them!) she was a pleasure to work with. We’ve also had so many compliments from our friends and family, not just on the photos but on how lovely Heather was to be around and how hard she worked on the day. One of our friends was filming the wedding and when we watched the video it was amazing to see how much Heather was moving around capturing all the different angles and different moments and yet, on the day we weren’t even aware of her presence at all. That really is a skill! We can not recommend Heather highly enough and would like to say a huge thank you for the beautiful memories that she has given us of our wedding day. Rachel & Adam x”

“I’d done a lot of research into photographers when we first got engaged. We knew we wanted something laid-back, unobtrusive and didn’t want to be standing around all day posing for photos, jaws aching when we could be having fun with our friends. We’d been to too many weddings where the bridal party disappear for two hours leaving guests starving, while they have staged formal photos, or photographers shouting out lists of names and pushing people this way and that. It was my idea of hell! We just wanted someone to capture the real emotions of the day, and apart from a couple of group photos, we were happy for them to just mingle around and capture lots of natural moments and details. We also wanted someone with a unique, quirky and fun style where the photos would stand out as being different. Finding Heather was like finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, I wasn’t really sure such a photographer existed!
Heather got us straight away, and shared our love of tea, cake and running! We had a Nearly Married shoot with her on a lovely sunny day in February and were so pleased with the pics. She has a great eye and is so creative. So many people commented on how lovely she was, and how hard working. She stayed until quite late in the evening capturing embarrassing dancefloor shots and set up an evening photobooth (some of these photos are our favourites!). We’ve got so many beautiful photos, and feel so proud of our day which was captured in a such a unique way. I cannot recommend Heather highly enough. She has given us the very best memories of our special day in such a beautiful way and we cannot wait to move into our house so we can display them so proudly!”

“Heather – where to start? You have given us such beautiful, life long memories, created with care and a unique attention to detail. You see beyond the obvious and capture moments which don’t only look enchanting but which are a true reflection of the people you are photographing. Some of our most cherished pictures are of little details which others wouldn’t have noticed but which join together to paint a special picture of our day. Besides all of this you are one of life’s lovely people who put us at ease and most importantly, made us smile. Our only sadness comes with knowing that we probably won’t be doing anything worth photographing again! We wish you much happiness in all your forthcoming projects, it really is no wonder that you are busy! With our love and huge thanks, Sinéad and Michael xx ”
“Heather words can not describe how unbelievably happy we are with our photos and I still cant believe how many we have!! You have managed to capture whats seems like every single moment of our day perfectly. For someone who doesn’t really like having their picture taken I could not of imagined anyone else making me feel as relaxed as Heather did. We wanted very ‘un-staged’, natural looking photos and heather completely understood what we wanted from day one.All our friends and family have commented on how truly stunning the photos are. We are so glad that we chose Heather to shoot our special day and don’t think another photographer could of captured it as amazingly as Heather did! Thank you so much again, we highly recommend you to anyone!!!Kara and pk”

“Getting the right photographer was really important to us and I spent hours and hours searching photographers online. I found Heather’s work on a wedding blog and instantly loved it! It was creative, quirky, beautiful and full of fun.The engagement shoot was excellent as we got to know the way Heather works (she really makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera) and also what expressions etc worked for us.On the Wedding day, Heather was amazing! She is absolutely lovely and great to be around, very practical, reassuring and has fantastic creative ideas! She fits in perfectly and works very hard capturing all the special moments and touches. Our wedding couple shoot on the Southbank was fantastic. Heather had found fab backgrounds to work with our colour scheme and on the day she was able to instantly spot other quirky backdrops. We love the fact that there are so many different styles of images. colours, lighting etc and each image can stand on its own in a unique way.We cannot recommend Heather highly enough. She is a complete professional, very approachable and took any stress out of a big aspect of our day. Everyone who has seen our photos has commented on how much they suit us a couple. If you are still in the process of deciding what photographer to go with, look no further… Heather is your girl!”

“Reading back over some of emails that have pinged between the two of us it is clear that Heather has been more than a photographer for our wedding… she has been a fountain of creative thoughts, an advisor for timings , someone who I can discuss the behaviour of badgers and penguins with along with any other bits and bats or rats that needed addressing! On a more serious note, Heather has been truly tremendous throughout… She came to the site a day early to scope out the surroundings and locations, she even camped with us!! She was incredible at organising our guests and had some fabulous ideas as to how to photograph groups and children. We wanted Heather to capture the essence of the event as well as the people and she did just that. When I received the first set of images I was sat in my classroom on my own, after a long day teaching and I felt overwhelmed by the wonderous magical perfection before my eyes! I wanted to ring heather immediately and squeek down the phone! Heather- We cannot thank you enough for capturing one of the most important and enjoyable days of our life in such a delicate and beautiful manner. Perfect!”

“Heather did an absolutely amazing job on our wedding photos in March this year. She was really professional from the moment we got in touch through to the day itself. I loved her relaxed and alternative manner and style. We did not feel like the photos were a chore on the day. Heather went with the flow of the day and very much fitted in and was part of the wedding party. The photos are truly beautiful, more than we could ever have wished for. If you are looking for a fun and alternatively photographer to capture your wedding day and make you look like a movie star look no further :). Highly recommended. Jac and Chris”

“We spent ages searching online for the right photographer for our wedding. We’re both a bit camera shy and needed someone who could help us capture the feeling of the day perfectly without the photographs looking too staged! We didn’t want intrusive line ups of people taking time out of the day, and Heather helped us to avoid this yet still managed to get some great group shots. Above all we wanted our wedding to be relaxed and fun, and Heather really got into this and put up with all our mad ideas and rubbish attempts at posing. We spent a lot of our time with Heather laughing, which was exactly what we wanted in a photographer. We hoped for a few photographs to have as memories but we have so many that we love, we can’t choose which ones to put on the wall! She took a great ‘Victorian family’ style group shot which is hilarious and we’d never have thought to do it, but it is brilliant.Heather really went the extra mile, and stayed late in the evening to capture all the silly dancing, laughing and mad games. She took the time to make sure everyone was included, and as a result loads of our friends and family have photos from our wedding as their Facebook profile pictures! We had the wedding over two days and Heather was there from the word go, she managed to create the most amazing chronicle of the whole thing, looking through all the photos (over 1000) it really is like reliving it all and we couldn’t be happier with them. Thank you Heather! ”Kirsty & Matt

“We first met Heather on a cold winter evening when she came round to our house for a cup of tea and a chat about our wedding. She seemed to totally get the type of wedding we were looking for and didn’t think I was weird when I talked about my irrational dislike for flashing disco lights or anything too ‘weddingy’. Heather worked incredibly hard on the day, I’m sure clocking up more hours than we had anticipated. She was friendly, professional and incredibly easy to have around. The photos are really special. Relaxed, beautiful use of light, and they really capture the feel of the day. We, and our families are thrilled with them. Several engaged friends have already asked for her details. The little Vimeo photo montage was a lovely unexpected bonus. Thanks Heather!”Josephine & Matt

“Heather,Thank you so much for all our gorgeous wedding pics, we’re really blown away with how you managed to have captured all the energy, excitement, and fun of our big day. From the moment we met you we knew that you understood the essence of our day with colour and informality and you delivered ten-fold. You worked so tirelessly on the day to make sure that every shot is swimming with light and colour and that everyone felt really easy and relaxed and that’s reflected in all the smiles and laughter. The nearly married shoots were great as well, it’s so nice to have some proper pictures of Andy and I and really helped us both feel much more relaxed in front of the camera, (that’s probably why we’re kissing in so many pics! x). Now for the difficult task of choosing our favourites for the album. Rushes of love for you Lara and Andy Johnson”

“Simply stunning- thank you. I first spotted Heathers work in a wedding magazine where I admired ‘Helen and Daniel’s retro tea party’ and straight away fell in love with Heather’s creative photos and obvious artistic eye. Then nosing through her excellent website which I found her creative photography to be very absorbing – I didn’t expect to feel quite as excited about a photographer as I did when I found the ‘one’.Heather offers an excellent service- I have never heard of a wedding photographer including all images (around 500 images) within the service. Although we were a little shy with the thought of an ‘engagement’ shoot but this turned out to be one of our funniest days out and was just fantastic wedding preparation! We got to know Heather and instantly felt at home with the person who was taking our most treasured photos and really felt we were on to a winner with someone who can make us laugh and allow us to enjoy being photographed! All our family and friends gave beautiful compliments of our wedding photos, with photos for all tastes including elderly relatives to my 9 year old bridesmaid. One friend mentioned that she didn’t even notice there was a photographer there on the day- I think that speaks for a lot!Olly and I are absolutely in love with our photos we think they are simply stunning and love to show them off which I never thought I would ever be showing off photographs of just us two! But that is all down to Heathers skills and creative ideas- we’re very proud of our engagement and wedding photos. I know we’ll still be looking at them when we’re old and wrinkly bringing back the best memory’s with massive smiles on our faces!

“As a self-proclaimed ‘non bridey bride’ who planned a wedding in 5 months after getting engaged after 15 years, I knew that I wanted something a bit different when it came to recording what was a very special day for Matt and I, and someone that wouldn’t force the ‘traditional’ on us in terms of stiff line ups and poses, which made both of us cringe. What we got with Heather was so much more. Our day was packed full of laughter and love and she really captured this at every angle possible. Having seen the final set, our friends and family are absolutely wowed by them and have commented that everyone is laughing, smiling and twinkling in them. We fell head over heels in love with the photographs and trying to choose a selection to put into storybooks for Christmas presents was an almost impossible task, there are just so many stunning shots to choose from. Our wedding was the last of the season, it rained and Heather was cold and wet but she insisted on staying until our rather late last dance to make sure she captured every last drop – and to what effect! Photographs, really, are beautiful memories and I couldn’t think of anyone better to record them for you with creativity, panache and good humour. Thank you Heather, you rock.”Miriam & Matt

“Heather was wonderful at our wedding. Not only is she brilliant fun, she’s also an exceptionally talented photographer. I was lucky enough to be introduced to Heather over a year ago and as soon as I got chatting to her I knew that she would be able to capture the unique sort of shots we were seeking for our wedding. We decided to have a festival wedding which entailed hiring a woodland, lots of outdoor fun, bands, camping, a hog roast and much more. We knew from the outset that we didn’t want a traditional wedding and our sole focus for the photography was to simply ‘capture the day’. Not only did Heather capture everything brilliantly, its apparent she has a wonderfully creative eye which led to some fantastic photos – from quirky distant shots through to real action shots. And boy, can she stay the distance! Not wanting to miss out on anything, Heather was snapping away from morning until night – from getting prepared in the morning through to night pictures in the woods.I would recommend Heather in a shot – if you are looking for someone to take control and to truly deliver photographs that capture the spirit and the fun of your day then Heather is your girl. I’m absolutely delighted with the number of photos we have to remind us what a great day our wedding was for all.”Tina & Paul

‘Heather, where do we start? The minute we met you we knew we had made the right decision. You completely got us. The engagement shoot was such an added bonus and it really helped us relax on our wedding day. Your style of photography is exactly what we were looking for and you didn’t disappoint. The photos are even better than we thought they could be. Lots of people have commented on them and you, saying how nice it was that lots of photos were taken without them even knowing. Even the small amount of group shots didn’t feel too structured and everyone having them done. You totally captured the uniqueness of our day and we will be eternally grateful to you. “We’re so happy with the photos of our big day.. the fact that we get all the images (700+!!) as high res files is a real bonus too- now we just have to try and choose our favourites to print out, which is not going to be easy!Heather was great at capturing both the little moments and details, and at organising the guests to get some great group shots- the best of both worlds. She also multi-tasked as an hour by hour weather forecaster and cleverly planned the day so we got our lovely outdoor shots before the heavens opened! And we love love LOVE the photo booth shots too- so many funny moments captured!Thank you so much Heather, we’ll treasure our photos forever. “It was the crisps what done it.We’d never wanted a wedding. When we decided to do it after 12 years and a mortgage, the original plan was for jeans and a t-shirt afternoon at Town Hall. However, when I saw Heather’s amazingly beautiful pictures on a wedding blog, I went from thinking we didn’t need a professional photographer for our “elopement” style wedding to thinking that if we didn’t have one, it might just be something we’d regret forever.I had ruled a photographer out on our budget, but reading Heather’s description of her ‘love of love’ and her love of crisps, I though that asking for an unusual package for an unusual day might not be too, well, unusual.Heather agreed to be the fifth member of our wedding party for a freezing day in December on the Brighton front. She went over and above the call of duty, carrying spare shoes and hankies, rushing along the groom’s pre-ceremony chips and beer and climbing fences and cordons for brilliant twilight shots on the Pier. All the while, Heather was a joy, putting four camera shy northerners at ease and still managing to take some really amazing, and now treasured, photographs.Working with Heather was wonderful. She is truly someone you’d like to have at any party as a guest. If our wedding had been a full-on day, I imagine she’d have been like an added bridesmaid without the cost of the dress. Go on, book.”

“We don’t enjoy having our photo taken and were adamant that we did not want an ‘official’ photographer at our wedding. But then…along came Heather! We saw the beautiful pictures she had taken of Helen and Dan’s wedding and loved the vintage look, unique styling and inspired composition of her photos.Heather made the whole process enjoyable and put us and our guests at ease, so those smiles you see are genuine! We love the detail shots, her artistic eye has captured the character and individual elements that made our wedding so special. We are so glad we chose to use Heather as our photographer, our photos really evoke the feeling of the day, thank you.”

“It’s a scary thing to choose the person who is going to single handily capture the most special day of your life but Heather really made that choice simple. We’re so delighted with the photos, we didn’t realise they could make you THIS happy! Not only do we champion Heather as a photographer, but many of my family and friends have commented on her talent and her enthusiasm throughout the day. She made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera and captured this perfectly in the shots – so so so so happy! Thank you Heather! ”Lucy & Kirk

Heather & I became “friends” at first on a boat party at the electric elephant festival in Croatia. Then It was love at first sight when Tom & i met at the duty free airport….Heather & i remained friends and when we later announced our engagement Heather offered straight away to be our photographer and we were delighted as we knew both her & her music tastes & most importantly her work. Our engagement shot was on a very cold February windy day in Birmingham with a very urban, harsh industrial background which resulted interestingly in some warm quirky pictures that all our friends loved to this day! Then well ….the wedding day was immense but it goes so quickly that without a GREAT photographer you would miss so much! Heather managed to be here there between everywhere & everyone and got some real funky natural beautiful pictures which every time we look at we just cannot thank her enough to bring back the magic of the day to life again! Everybody loved her, she’s friendly, cool and not your typical “wedding” photographer: she’s a brilliant photographer!just hope the day we have another family occasion she can do our next chapter…..easy to guess!!!Tom & France Xxxxxx
“Heather did an incredible job of capturing our special day, not only with her tireless efforts to shoot every aspect of the wedding (I half expected her to leap out while I was in the shower!), but also her comprehensive attention to detail. From scouting suitably scenic locations to applying beautiful vintage filters to her shots to emphasise our retro theme, she went out of her way to ensure that we would remember our day in style. Going beyond the call of duty, she even put us onto the chap who would end up being our perfect wedding DJ and worked her magic to get our day featured on Rock n Roll Bride, a site that was our touchstone throughout the planning stages for alternative, stylish weddings. She’s the complete package, folks, and comes with the highest recommendation.”

“We were really stressing about finding the right kind of photographer for our big day – we wanted natural looking shots with a vintage feel and once we saw Heathers work we were sure she would be just what we wanted and she didn’t disappoint. Heather was fantastic – she managed to blend in to the overall chaos taking some fab shots while we were getting ready at home and was an absolute star before, during and after the ceremony. Everyone said she was so friendly and she got some great shots – even managing to make me look good dancing which is no small feat! Thank you so much for adding so much to our special day.”

”Don’t worry it never rains for the whole day” these were the famous words from Heather Shuker, and although it did rain for the entire day we have the nicest photos we could have ever wished for! We are so pleased we chose Heather to be the photographer of our wedding, she gave us the exact feel we were after, and even though we didn’t have the perfect weather the photos capture the best day of our lives as it was – she is truly talented! All of our friends and family said they have never seen a photographer work so hard and that she was a real trooper, what with having to deal with such dull weather and we couldn’t agree more! Thank you Heather from start to finish we have the most amazing shots, they will be cherished forever! xxxHelen & Nick
“I am so glad Heather did our wedding photos, we have got an amazing record of our day. The photos are all so natural and they really capture our special day in a unique and natural way. She was with us the whole day and didn’t stop snapping away until way into the night. She was great with the guests and managed to get snaps of them all whether they wanted to or not! I would highly recommend Heather, she is very friendly, good fun and you can just forget about who’s taking the photos and get on with enjoying your day. She’s brilliant!”Kim & Ben
” I can truly recommend Heather and her photography, She is extremely gifted and managed to capture the happiness and emotion we experienced on our special day. Not to mention she is great fun, got on well with all our guests and easily managed to control the wedding party, who were more interested in drinking than having their picture taken! It was a true honour to have had Heather at our wedding and we will be forever grateful for the fantastic job she did.”Fiona & Rob

“I was so stressed about finding the right kind of photographer for our wedding. Let’s face it – a photographer could make or break the day. Fortunately for us we found Heather and she absolutely made it. My (then to be) husband is not great in front of a camera and we had both decided we didn’t want the day to be about posing for formal photos and therefore missing out on the fun. I asked Heather if she could just take photos of everyone having a great time. I could not have found a more perfect person. She has captured the feeling and mood of the day perfectly from early morning croissants and pre-wedding excitement to jazz band joy, Mexican Mariachis, live rock and on into the night carnival. In fact she stayed with us until really late and became one of the guests – albeit working very hard! She is even in a few of my wedding photos which is brilliant. I cannot recommend her more highly. On top her her excellent photography the package includes all of her photos on a link so unlike other photographers your family and friends get all of the photos… for free! Quite simply…you’d be mad not to hire her.”

“We were lucky to get Heather to photograph our wedding and we were really happy with the results! She has a good eye for a cool shot and is a nice friendly personality to have around. The process of getting our hands on the prints was quick and easy. Would recommend anyone who wants their wedding photographed to check out her site and have a chat to her. Thanks Heather!” Phil & Caroline

“We LOVE our pictures! Heather’s idea to have the engagement shoot along South Bank was brilliant. It was great to meet each other then rather than the morning of the wedding. Heather has the most amazing eye for colours, shadows, reflections, where the sun is shining through to make a good picture. Our pictures are traditional but with a twist which is exactly what I had wanted – less formal than what you typically think of for wedding pictures but still capturing all the right things. They are some of the nicest pictures ever taken of us as a couple. Heather just got on with it on the wedding day, we didn’t have to worry about her at all – we even had quite a few comments from guests about how nice the photographer was! We are looking forward to seeing her again for my sister’s wedding next year. Thanks again Heather.”Clare and Max.
