Intimate Chelsea Town Hall Wedding

Sharing more intimate London weddings on my journal as these will be the weddings I will be shooting for the next few months. Going back a little in time; time is something now have! This Chelsea Town Hall wedding with Tom and Nicola from Christmas 2017. Being mid winter, weather wise it was a terribly dull day, however, the images were brought to life with warm ambient and sparkly light.

I have to confess to preferring shooting weddings in winter than summer as I prefer the tones and colours. I have never been a fan of bright green. Also, if the sun does come out from behind the clouds, lower in the sky the light is simply remarkable.

The wedding ceremony was conducted by Chelsea Registry office at the Old Chelsea Town Hall. The small intimate room was the perfectly formed Rosetti Room although I see now it has been refurbished. Being rather nostalgic I preferred the room before and also the layout and creative photographic opportunity was also better before the refurb. I notice such details because I am rather obsessive and I care about capturing your wedding story.

Tom & Nicola’s additional guests joined us on the steps of the town hall to make for a far more lively confetti exit. The wedding party then went on to the upstairs private dining room at Tom’s Kitchen. On route Tom, Nicola and I hung back for a few minutes to capture a couple more photographs and to have a minute or so on their own. This time is really important as a couple to have a few moments together to reflect, before re-joining the party.
