Osea Island private wedding. We had a small intimate family official wedding in the morning with the registrars and then afterwards a hug ceremony with all the guests.
Osea Island is a very special place – an exclusive luxury island located surprisingly close to London. Having a private island for your wedding party is amazing. The island becomes totally private from the mainland with the tides and cars are only able to come onto the island and leave in line with the tides.
Situated off the coast of Essex, this privately owned island is accessible twice daily during four-hour windows via a causeway. When the tide comes in, the island becomes your exclusive retreat, offering ample space for up to 150 guests. With glamping options available, even more visitors can enjoy the experience, arriving and departing in harmony with the tides.
I arrived on Osea Island on the Friday evening in line with the tides.

After much frivolities and dancing in the sunshine the guest ambled over to the Bomb Factory’ for the more formal part of the wedding the speeches (the island is very walkable!)
Later in the evening, guests moved back to‘The Shack’ for the party. The Shack offers quirky indoor spaces and fields to inspire a festival atmosphere.
