Asylum Chapel Wedding

2nd January 2020

The Asylum Chapel is London’s most unique wedding ceremony venue. One never tires of shooting there.  Each time the light presents a totally unique aesthetic and unique charm.  Louise and Duncan married at the end of September with their nearest and dearest. The candle is a significant part of their story as Duncan proposed in a room with 100’s of candles and a choir. On their wedding day music and a choir were again an integral part of their story. Louise were a beautifully bespoke Hermione de Paula wedding dress. Louise and Duncan’s day was a intimate family affair with the reception close to their home in North London at their local pub the Star.

This wedding at the Asylum Chapel was also featured on Love My Dress

The Asylum is part of Mavericks Projects.  The stunning, grade 2 listed chapel, located in Caroline Gardens, Peckham, is licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies.

I have been shooting editorial shoots and weddings at the Asylum since 2014. I have photographed weddings at the Chapel in all seasons and in all lighting conditions, including winter ones in the dark. Lots more of my Asylum weddings can be found within the journal
