Trinity Buoy Wharf, East London Wedding; Docklands to Hackney and back. By far one of my fave weddings of 2012 was at Stoke Newington Town Hall and afters at Trinity Buoy Wharf with the lovely Ralpy & Carly. Carly found me on RocknRoll Bride and I am so glad she did. I LOVED this wedding and yes I was crying in the speeches. I first met Ralp & Carly in January 2012 when they came down to Brighton to hatch plans with me about their big day and for their Nearly Married shoot. See the Nearly Married pics here. And you know when you just know you are going to love a couple … well it was love at first site ; loved them – even Carly’s exclamation when I showed her a photo on the back of my camera ” wow that is like a proper photographer” which made us all chuckle.
The wedding was in May and was one of those balmy days from the summer of 2012 ! And we had some amazing light..on and off. So I was on full Heather Whatever the Weather – Weather Watch for that special light – which was worth watching for!
The Chain Store, Trinity Buoy Wharf is situated a mile east of Canary Wharf on the banks of the river Thames, the Chainstore is a Grade ii listed building with beautiful brick and triple height ceilings – industrial chic! They pretty much let you do what you want – it’s ace ; a blank canvas and you can party on til 2am (which they did with the Wedding Smashers) and they do do all those sneaky venues profit making things like charge corkage and you can use any companies you want in there; A true alternative wedding venue.
